www.LatinMusicBooking.com, was started in 1998 for the purpose of
trying the new and exciting Internet, "The e-commerce venture" (smile).
This site has changed a bit from the original look, people seem to like it
more now since it has so many things on music, the Great Info section in
the Information Services area has some of my storys and writings on the
music business, and Hopefully I will soon be writing my book which I call
"From The Inside Out" a story of life within Mob, Music and Business
(was it real or only a movie).

Chino Rodriguez, of Puerto Rican/Chinese
descent, is not a newcomer to the Tropical Music
scene. Back in the late 60's Chino Rodriguez started
his musical career with a local Brooklyn New York
band by the name of Orchestra Dee Jay, that
experience placed the spark that moved Chino through
many large and small bands and companies within the
music industry. Chino started his Orchestra in the early
70's and recorded two albums with Salsa Records
entitled "Maestro De Kung-Fu" and "Si Te Vas Mi
China" which sold Latin Gold recordings both
produced by Larry Harlow of the Fania All-Stars and
Producer of the Fania All-Star Albums. Chino
Rodriguez y La Consagracion was nominated in the
Latin NY Magazine's Award for best new band and
had two hits from the second album. After working his
band in the New York club circuit, Chino left the club
scene and the music business and opened a successful
computer company mid 80's. Chino returned to music,
as Sr. Vice President and General Manager of Hidden
Faces Records.

After setting up the record label for it's owners and
producing two projects for Hidden Faces, Chino moved
on to start an artist management firm. Chino opened
Chino Rodriguez Management a/k/a C.R.M. in 1992-3,
the firm has recruited well known artists such as; Ismael
Miranda, Giro, Joe Cuba, The LeBron Brothers, Nestor
Sanchez, Angel Canales, Yomo Toro, Secreto, Spagga
y La Raza, to name a few of the exclusive C.R.M.
artists.

Internationally and throughout the United States, C.R.M., has successfully
booked, the late Frankie Ruiz, Tito Rojas, Isidro Infante, El General,
Larry Harlow, Ray Barretto, Johnny Pacheco, Descarga Boricua, Bobby
Valentin, Latin Legends, Salsa Legends, Sancocho, Lalo Rodriguez, and
the Late Tito Puente Sr. just to name a few. Chino was also involved with
Recording projects of Capitol/EMI Latin's "Naci para Cantar" by Lalo
Rodriguez and ASEFRA Records "Cantar O No Cantar" by Ismael
Miranda and Junior Gonzalez with 3 Hits by Jr. off that CD. Chino was a
Casting Director for Telemundo's Buscando Bands Exec. Prod. Riddle-
Wienstock. Chino is available for consulting, producing, management,
and guest speaking and he still loves to play the trombone when called
upon.

So what have I learned about the electronic booking business "The
e-commerce", It's great, I get messages from around the world and I
book some bands also, as some people say "it's a living", what
surprises me so much is that Latin Music is purchased around the
world. What I see at home is the lack of knowledge the fans of
Tropical Music have, the world fans (outside the popular urban areas
in the USA) know everything about the artist they love, where that
artist recorded, how many CD/Albums the artist has out, I mean
everything, the urban fan, just doesn't, but they still love that artist just
